“My inspirations become creations.”
Some stories begin with an idea.
Mine begins with a need.
For a long time, I felt I couldn't find clothes that truly represented me. I couldn't afford much, but more than that, I couldn't find pieces that spoke of me as an individual, not as part of the crowd. That's when I started creating. First out of necessity, then out of curiosity, and finally out of a deep need to express myself through craft.
My name is Marlene. It's not a name I ever felt close to. For a long time it felt like something that didn't quite belong to me. But somewhere along the way, I learned to make peace with it, the same way I've learned to make peace with the parts of myself I didn't choose. That, too, has been part of this journey.
A story in constant evolution, and the desire to find a place where I could feel free.
I grew up in Switzerland, beautiful, but narrow, a place that never quite left me room to breathe.
I've always felt a strong pull toward the sea. Living far from it, in a place that slowly dimmed my energy, made me feel disconnected from myself.
That need for change led me to search for somewhere different, somewhere I could breathe, observe, and create, somewhere I could move instead of standing still.
Here, near the sea, my creations finally found their true inspiration.
Is a collection inspired by the free, creative energy of Ibiza. The Mediterranean Sea, the island's wild nature, and its unmistakable light have become my main sources of inspiration.
The collection reinterprets the free-spirited, handcrafted style of the island through pieces made with traditional techniques like crochet. Every design reflects a connection to nature, freedom of expression, and femininity.
The colors and elements of the collection are born from this relationship with my surroundings: sand, which mirrors my own color; blue, my favorite, which always reminds me of my need to stay close to the sea; and flowers, which draw me in and inspire me here.
More than a collection, is the beginning of a personal journey a search for identity, freedom, and authenticity. And I hope it keeps moving with me:
this is what lets me travel, to keep finding inspiration in motion rather than standing still.
